A painter of hares, and a keeper of small treasures.

Morena Artina has painted for as long as she could hold a brush, and professionally since 2010. Her subject is the creatures of the British countryside — above all the hare, quick and watchful, a symbol of the moon and of spring. Her series Creatures of the Wild began with a single night painting and has grown into a body of work collected in homes around the world.

Her style has kept evolving. Alongside the wildlife there is now a body of witchy, spiritual and intuitive work — moons and magpies, crows and keys, gold leaf and symbol — painted in the space where nature meets intuition. Each original is built slowly, in layers. Once a painting is sold, it stays listed here as part of the archive.

Between canvases, Morena looks for vintage jewellery and antiques — at estate sales, country auctions and markets. Each piece is cleaned, described honestly and offered here with the same care as her paintings.
